What The World Needs Now Is Anarchy (It’s The Only Thing That There’s Just Too Little Of)

Here are some anarchist thoughts from someone who’s not all that well versed on the subject of anarchy. I’m sure my ideas differ greatly from a good amount of anarchist thought, but hopefully there is something of worth to be gained by what I have to say.

Anarchy, as I see it, is dependent upon the morality of the individual. An anarchistic society can only be healthy so long as the great majority of people are deeply imbued with the concept of the golden rule. The individual anarchist, far from being the individualist as envisioned by Ayn Rand, must, in rejecting the external imposition of morality, cultivate a strong morality of their own. They must not only be able to be a part of a functioning system but also be a role model and example for others. The eradication of imposed laws must be replaced by individuals who work hard to avoid harming others. Who in fact work hard to help others.

Anarchist morals need to be focused on the self rather than on others. Too often do I see memes and comments on social media of people complaining how they are expected to use paper straws in order to help the environment while celebrities are sailing around in yachts and flying in private jets. They focus on the morality of others, losing sight of their own behaviors.
