We’re Headed Towards Fascism And Only YOU Can Stop It

I’ve read a good share of Mein Kampf and have found in it more sympathy for the average laborer than I find from Democrats and Republicans. I shouldn’t have to tell you how utterly abhorrent I find Hitler and all his followers to be, but even they were able, from time to time, to fake concern for the common German. Republicans have never expressed sympathy but only assign blame, while Democrats now refer to blue collar workers as a basket of deplorables. Again, Hitler and his goons, very bad, but if you want to know how such people come to power it’s because of the failure of mainstream politics. It’s because people are so desperate they are willing to take a chance on an unlikeable outlier (sound familiar?).

Offer people something of substance or they will eventually be done with you. We’re at that point now. Frankly, I believe both the Republican and Democratic Parties are too far gone to be able to offer the American people anything they want. Seeing how the nation is ripe for a demagogue, and seeing as how the established parties are unable to offer an alternative, we’ve got to start thinking outside the box. More than that, we’ve got to start acting outside the box. Fascism is the logical result of permitting ourselves to be uncritically led by authority. Fascism is the logical result of a system that demands we dismiss logic and long-standing values.
