Tulsi Will Beat Trump, Warren Will Lose

I’m imagining Trump and Elizabeth Warren on stage and Trump calling her Pocahontas. The crowd laughs, because it is funny. And EW can say nothing because she has left herself open to this shot.

I’m imagining Trump and Tulsi Gabbard on stage and Tulsi calling him Corporal Bonespurs. The crowd laughs, because it is funny. Trump responds because Trump must always respond, but the shot sticks, because it is coming from a female veteran against a tough-talking male who had his chance to prove his toughness and turned tail and ran.

The difference between Elizabeth Warren and Tulsi Gabbard is that Tulsi will beat Trump. She cannot lose to Trump: she is honest, principled, strong, articulate, charming, and inpiring. Elizabeth Warren will lose to Trump: she is dishonest, unprincipled, weak, articulate but waffling, does not come off as real, and does not inspire. Tulsi will capture the military vote, the Progressive vote, the Libertarian vote, and a decent chunk of the Trump voters. Warren will win the support of the media and the donor class. It won’t be enough.
Elizabeth Warren will lose, and it will be the Democratic Party’s fault. They will blame Russia, Progressives, Trump, Republicans, and anyone else they can find, but they will never blame themselves. If they couldn’t accept blame in 2016, nothing will change.

Elizabeth Warren is likely the candidate of choice for the establishment Dems and the media that props up this grotesque animated corpse of the party of Kennedy and Roosevelt. It’s not etched in stone because they’ve been throwing a lot of stuff against the wall to see what sticks, but I’m guessing Warren is their best bet. She’s the closest to a candidate of integrity that will still follow the party line. She’s their groomed Bernie-Lite candidate, the rest of them being outliers that just might catch some zeitgeist of which they have no inkling. She’s their best shot but they’d be willing to dump her in a New York minute if they found somebody else who could get people’s attention off of Bernie or Tulsi. As for the general election, that’s not really a priority.

You see, it’s their agenda that is most important to the Democratic Party, not victory. Or rather, it is the agenda of their donors that is of primary importance. Should they lose to Trump, that is not as dangerous to the agenda of their donors as winning with a real progressive. They are closer to Republicans than they are to Progressives, in spirit if not in appearance.

Republicans are the stone wall that protects the elite in their castle, but centrist Democrats are a moat of murky waters, within which swim hungry crocodiles that will bite at anyone who threatens the ruling class. They will never bite at the occupants of the castle: if they did they would have been gotten rid of long ago.

Let me say this again, because a truth told once is no match for a lie oft repeated: The Democratic Party does not mind losing to Trump. Let me say it again, because the establishment has been telling the lie so often it’s worked its way into your nervous system: they only oppose Trump because he’s giving the game away, exposing the ugly truth they’ve been applying lipstick to for the last few decades. Let me say it again, to wash out the subliminal messaging they’ve filled you with: Bill and Hillary went to Donald Trump’s wedding to Melania. One more time, though the media has told their tale millions of times more than I ever can: MSNBC cut away from a Bernie speech in order to show Trump’s empty podium.

Do you hate Trump? Then vote for someone who will stand up to him. Do you hate Trump? Then stop listening to all the people who have been passively or actively supporting him. Do you want to see Trump win? Then accept the candidate the media chooses for you.
