The Reason Liberals Speak Up For Ukraine, Remain Silent On Gaza
A lot of people think it’s hypocritical of those who speak out for Ukraine and yet remain silent regarding Gaza, but it is entirely consistent. In either case, whether you speak up for Ukraine or remain silent on Gaza, you are supporting the cause of war. In both cases, you are supporting the military industrial complex. Donald Trump supports the war against the Gazan people, and therefore your support is not required. The more you speak the more you might get people questioning things, so shut your mouth. Donald Trump is (or claims to be) trying to achieve peace in Ukraine, so there your assistance is required. Speak up! It’s okay, the media says it is.
Ultimately, you do what the media tells you to do. Always have and always will. And the media is not going to tell you to work for peace. It never has and it never will.
Once upon a time you harbored illusions about what you would do in the face of a genocide. You would NOT stay silent. You would not allow yourself to be a part of it by saying nothing.
