The ostensible reason for Israel's existence is for there to be a country that is safe for Jewish people. Many Israelis are now fleeing Israel because they have safer options. Many won't ever return. It could very well be that Israel will no longer be a sustainable project. Add on to that the fact that the U.S. is its prime supporter and it is a dying empire. Europe, its other best friend, is fading from the global scene as a relevant actor. When or if Israel starts to topple, there will be few true believers left to fight for it, the majority of Israelis choosing to find more hospitable living spaces.
