Thank God The Rest Of The World Didn’t See Our Best And Brightest Debate One Another

Wow! Well at least we had the foresight not to broadcast that to the rest of the world, right? I mean, that’s why they didn’t let any people in attendance so that they could keep the foreign press from reporting it abroad, I assume. And we deleted all saved digital recordings so that we keep the memories of our presidential debate as our secret shame, I’m sure. Wouldn’t want allies or enemies getting a glimpse of that. Anybody sharing that to the rest of the world ought to get the Assange treatment, because they are clearly intending to make our political process a laughingstock, thereby reducing our stature anywhere it is seen. So nobody but us saw it, right?

Shit.

I think the problem is we long ago decided that the opinion of the rest of the world didn’t matter and stopped trying to hide the truth. We assume that even if it does bother others, then screw it. That’s why Undersecretary Of State Victoria Nuland was able to say “F*ck the EU” without any repercussions. I mean, once you’ve had Donald Trump as your President, there’s not really much to hide anymore is there?
