Random Thoughts Culled From My Notes
I’ve been searching through my notes for certain items and found thoughts which I found too good to linger in obscurity. I hope that at least one of them connects with you:
I am enough of a conservative that when I walk through a crosswalk I don’t leave my safety in the hands of others, but I am enough of a liberal to appreciate the crosswalk being there.
You don’t need a gun to be brave nor do you need to engage in violence to show courage.
You have the right to do things you shouldn’t. Don’t.
A kiss was once more of a commitment to marriage than a child is nowadays.
If we do not remember our own sins while noticing the sins of others, we are merely adding to our own pile.
As hunger is the sweetest sauce, so too physical labor makes for the softest of beds.
If people aren’t engaged in the political process because it is too complex to understand, it is time to build a system that is understandable. It is time to build a system that is inclusive rather than exclusive. People are capable of being engaged in the process. People are happiest when they have meaningful lives.
The pain of existence is the pain of a piece of a puzzle that has not yet found where it fits.
