I’m putting together a new book of essays and I thought I would give you a taste of it by providing this sampler plate:

It’s hard for most people to find organic foods and harder still for them to afford them. Real food, real natural food, is looked upon by the masses as elitist, when it is the very stuff the poorest peasants have always eaten. Honest politicians with a platform that the majority of people support are viewed as something only privileged people have the luxury of voting for. Think about it, we are being told time and again that we cannot afford a decent politician or a natural loaf of bread.

Imagine mingling at a social engagement, asking someone what they do for a living, and them replying, “Oh, I blow smoke up people’s asses.” Of course they would never say that, because that would be too honest. So they’ll tell you they work in advertising or public relations. They’ll tell you they’re in politics or they work for a think tank that advocates for freedom and civil liberties. Feel a tingling in your sphincter? If you’re enlightened, you know exactly what that feeling means. And if you are enlightened, you know exactly the right thing to say in such a situation: “F*ck Off!”

Life was all that was. It had solidity, form, a tangible existence. One only had to have eyes to see life. Whereas ego was nothing but a program run by and in the service of life. It had no existence on its own, could not exist without life. But ego, unable to see itself since there was nothing to see, began to…
