Not Wanting To Eat Bioengineered Food Doesn’t Make Me Anti-American

What is the reason for foisting bioengineered food on us? We don’t want it. Literally nobody asked for it. It hasn’t lowered food prices. It hasn’t increased profits for small farmers. It’s not better for us. And it’s not better tasting. God only knows what the eventual repercussions on our health and our planet will be. It is an unknown compared to food we’ve known to be safe and healthy for thousands of years.

It’s not helping starving people. People are starving now not because we do not produce enough food but because we are unwilling to make sure everybody gets enough. We can bioengineer the hell out of our food and it won’t make a difference until we put the needs of starving children above the needs of giant corporations to increase profits for themselves.

Bioengineered food won’t help cure hunger. As we speak, people are going hungry because sanctions are being put upon them because they won’t allow bioengineered foods into their countries. Bioengineering foods is a means of patenting the genes of the food people eat. Bioengineered food is a means of Big Ag controlling the food supply of the world.

People in Gaza are starving not because we don’t have enough bioengineered foods but because Israel is destroying bakeries and olive trees. Around the world, the same interests…
