My Latest Article Got More Highlights Than Barack Obama’s (Again)
I beat Barack Obama again. As some of you may know, every time he shares an article on Medium, I check to see how many people highlight a portion of his article. I think that’s a pretty good indicator of how many people actually read the article and find something significant enough to highlight for others. Then I check the most recent article I’ve written and see if I have more. I’m undefeated so far. Granted, he has more likes for his articles, but that gives me no indication if people actually read the whole thing, understood it, or liked it.
I think that’s a fair comparison, given that he has 287,000 followers and I have 759. Additionally, my articles are mostly behind a paywall, so you actually have to be a paying Medium member to even read my articles, let alone highlight them.
I beat him 2 highlights to his 1. Again. I have beat him every single time since I start keeping track, about 4 or 5 times now. I am undefeated in getting more interaction on my writing than a Nobel Peace Prize-winning 2-time President of The United States Of America.
I want you to stop and consider the enormity of this trouncing of such a well-known and popular figure. I want you to stop and think about what this means. And when you’re done contemplating it, I will give you my opinion in the paragraph below.
