Does Making A Really Ugly Truck Qualify You To Reshape The Entire U.S. Government?
I feel great sympathy for those who are losing assistance and careers due to Musk’s rampage through our government agencies. Decisions are seemingly being made by algorithms and random young people with computer skills and way too much authority granted to them.
But if there is a silver lining to be found on the DOGE cloud, it is that Elon Musk is exposing himself and his entire class to be the morons they well and truly are. Certainly they are shrewd in certain areas, but they are equally ignorant in others. Nobody can be intelligent and knowledgeable on all subjects, and it is a tragic flaw in anyone who believes they are.
One wonders how Musk believes he can operate a space technology company at the same time he is running a car company and a major social media site. One wonders further how someone trying to juggle what must individually be 80 hour per week commitments feels like he can take on a side gig restructuring the entirety of the U.S. government. Something tells me one of these commitments is going to be given short shrift. My guess is that they all will be. We can laugh at Musk’s failures in his own businesses, but we do not have the luxury when it comes to his actions in OUR government.
