An Introvert’s Thoughts On Where One Ought To Pee
I’m an introvert. I’m shy. I’m self-conscious. I enjoy my alone time and quite often feel uncomfortable around people.
As an introvert, I prefer music that appeals to my thoughts and emotions rather than has me up and dancing or banging my head. In short, I prefer progressive rock. I like songs that stretch anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes and take me on a journey. It’s the kind of music you close your eyes to listen to, or else read along with the lyrics in order to heighten the experience. It’s not the kind of music people want to hear at a party.
As an introvert, I’m very careful not to intrude on other people’s personal space, and I look out for other introverts who might be feeling uncomfortable. The last thing most introverts want to do is bother others or make them feel uncomfortable. We don’t normally speak unless we think someone else is open to a conversation, and we quickly back away if someone appears not to want to talk. We aren’t all touchy feely with others, don’t put our hands on others or stand too close, not wanting to cross any boundaries. That sort of treatment toward others is not us being aloof or distant but respectful.
